Cola Braised Pot Roast

Not all pot roasts are created equal, and if you are tired of the tried to true granny's pot roast, mashed potatoes, and swimming in gravy, then you should give this lean and green version a try.



Yields: 4 servings with 1 lean and 3 condiments per serving



Ingredients:

1 Boneless Chuck Roast

3/4 teaspoon Seasoning Salt

3/4 teaspoon Black Pepper

3/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder

3/4 teaspoon Onion Powder

1 Cup of Beef Broth

1 Can of Diet Coke or Coke Zero

1 Small can of Tomato Paste


Directions:

  1. Combine all the seasonings to make a rub in a small bowl.

  2. Liberally season both sides of the chuck roast and put it into your slow cooker or instapot.

  3. Add the liquid, but do not pour on top of the roast, (we don't want to wash away all that beautiful seasoning we just did).

  4. Set your slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours, (or until the beef is fall apart tender), with the cover on.
