This is a lean and green meal that is best described as that classic Mickey D's burger over a bed of lettuce. Hold on, before you run away, just give it a try. You'll be surprised by how good it actually is. I know that I was. Even the special sauce serves as your salad dressing, so neat! Ok let's get right into it...
Yields - 1 serving
Lean & Green Stats - 1 Leaner / 3 Greens / 1 Healthy Fat / 3 Condiments / 1/2 Optional Snack
Ingredients:
2 Tablespoons Onion, diced - I just used Onion Powder
5oz Lean Ground Beef
2 Tablespoons Wish-Bone Light Thousand Island Dressing
1 Teaspoon White Vinegar
1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder
3 Cups Romaine Lettuce, shredded
2 Tablespoons of reduced fat Cheddar Cheese
3oz Dill Pickle Slices
1 Teaspoon Sesame Seeds, (optional)
Directions:
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the onions and cook until they are fragrant, about 3 minutes, and then add the ground beef and cook until fully browned.
Meanwhile mix together the dressing, vinegar, and onion powder.
To assemble: Put your lettuce in the bowl 1st and top with ground beef and cheese. Top with pickle slices and drizzle sauce over everything. Finally sprinkle with sesame seeds, if using.
Enjoy!
